ग्रेटर नेपाल : रबिजी किन त्यस पछि चुप रहनु भयो र अहिले पनि चुप रहनु भएको छ ? - उत्तम खत्री

 दुई तिन बर्ष अगाडिको कुरा हो, जुन बेला ईन्डियाले अतिक्रमण गरि राखेको नेपालको कालापानी, लिपुलेक, लिम्पियाधुरालाई आफ्नो देखाइ नक्सा बनायो । त्यस क्षेत्रमा सडक आदि पनि बनायो। ईन्डियनहरुको कुकृत्यको नेपाल र बाहिर समेत धेरै बिरोध र भर्त्स्रना भएको थियोे । त्यस बेला रबि लामिछानेजीले News24 बाट "जनता सङ सिधा कुरा" लोकपृय कार्यक्रम प्रस्तुत गर्नु हुन्थ्यो । त्यसताका उहाले धेरै मह्त्वको कार्यक्रम प्रस्तुत गर्नु भयो। एक दिन सधाझै आफ्नो सैलिमा ठूलो आबाजमा प्रस्तुति  भयो उहाले भन्दै जानू भयो, अब त ज्यादै भयो, ईन्डियाले हामी माथि गर्दै आएको अत्याचार अतिनै भयो। हाम्रो जमिन माथी गरेको अतिक्रमणले सिमा नाघ्यो आदि इत्यादी भने पछि अब हामी चुप लागेर बस्न सक्दैनौ, अब हामी "ग्रेटर नेपाल" को कुरा उठाउछौ, ईन्डिया ले कब्जामा राखिरहेको भुमि फिर्ता लिन्छौ भन्दै धेरै आकर्षक देशभक्तीपुर्ण प्रस्तुती गर्नु भयो। 

म आफै पनि ग्रेटर नेपालको समर्थक भएकोले  तथाकथित सुगौलि सन्धी पछि नेपालको आधा जस्तो भुभाग अङ्रेजले लुटेको र सन १९४७ साल पछि ईन्डियाले उक्त लुटिएको नेपालको ति भूभाग फिर्ता गर्नु पर्नेमा, निर्लज्ज तबरले हाल सम्म कब्जामा राखेर पनि नपुगेर सके हालको पुरै नेपाल ईन्डियामा बिलय गराउने, सो गर्न नसकेसम्म नेपालका बिदेशिका दलाल नेताहरुलाइ हात लिदै नेपाललाई अबिकसित, गरिब अनि अस्थिर राखने अनि अलि अलि गरि दर्जनौ ठाउँमा सिमा मिची रहेको सन्धर्भमा रबि लामिछनेजीले प्रस्तुत गरेको विषयहरु र ग्रेटर नेपाल माथी देखाएको समर्थन देख्दा मलाइ अत्यन्त खुसी लग्यो। 

तर दुखको कुरा रबिजीले ग्रेटर नेपालको समर्थन जनाएको त्यो कार्यक्रम गरेको भोलिपल्ट देखिनै उहाँ News24 TV बाट हराउनु भयो। त्यसको मुख्य कारण ईन्डियानै हुनु पर्छ । धेरै दुख लागेकोले यो के भएको भनि जान्न मैले धेरै प्रयास गरे, तर कारण थाह हुन सकेन। 

अचम्मको कुरा, रबि लामिछानेजी जस्तो लोकपृय पत्रकारले प्रस्तुत गरेको, सिमा मिचिएको समयमा ग्रेटर नेपालको नक्सा स्टुडिओको भित्तामा टाङ्दै गरेको सन्कल्प, प्रतिज्ञा News24 टेलिभिजनमा हजारौ, लाखौ नेपालीले अबस्य हेरेको हुन पर्छ । तर ग्रेटर नेपालको नक्सा टाङेको दोस्रो दिन बाट रबिजी टेलिभिजन कार्यक्रम बाट्नै हटाइनु र नेपालमा यसबारे केही टिप्पणी, चर्चा समेत नहुनु र अहिले आएर मेयर बालेनजीले आफू  नेपालमा नभएको समयमा र श्रीमतीको औसधोपचारको लागि ईन्डियानै पुगेको समयमा ग्रेटर नेपालको नक्साले यत्रो भयानक हङगामा ल्याउनुमा बिदेशिको षड्यन्त्र पनि हुन सक्ने सम्भाबना देखिन्छ। 

बालेन्द्र्जीले नेपालको लुम्बिनी तथा कपिलबस्तुलाइ ईन्डियाको साम्सद भबनमा हालै स्थापित गरिएको मुरल नक्सामा पारिएको बिरोधमा आफ्नो कार्यकक्षमा ग्रेटर नेपालको नक्सा टाङ्न लगाउनु भएको हो। तर बालेनजी लाई थाह नदिइ यस कार्यमा ईन्डियाले ठुलो षड्यन्त्र रचेको हुन पनि सक्छ। कारण, ईन्डियाले आफूले अङ्रेजबाट सन १९४७ मा स्वतन्त्रता पाए देखि नेपाललाइ ईन्डियामा बिलय गराउन निरन्तर षड्यन्त्र र प्रयास गर्दै आएको छ। यस कामको लागि ईन्डियाको प्रथम प्रधान मन्त्री नेहरुले राजा त्रिभुवनबाट नेपाललाई आफ्नो अधिनमा राख्न धेरै कोसिस गरे। त्यस पछि राजा महेन्द्रलाइ सोही कामको लागि नेहरु र उनको छोरी इन्दिरा गान्धिले धरै प्रयास गरिन। बरु राजा महेन्द्र्ले ईन्डियाको दुस्प्रयासबाट टाढा राख्दै नेपाललाइ बिश्वमा एक स्वतन्त्र र बिकासोन्मुख देशको रुपमा चिनाए। राजा बिरेन्द्रलाइ पनि ईन्डियन नेताहरुले आफ्नो छाता मुनि राख्न अनेकौ प्रभोलन तथा त्रास समेत देखाउदै प्रयास गर्दै रहे। राजा बीरेन्द्रले आफ्नो देशको स्वाभिमान प्रती सम्झौता गर्नु भन्दा बरु नेपाली जनताको इच्छा अनुसारको बहुदलीय प्रजातान्त्रिक ब्यबस्थापन गरिदिए। अन्तमा राजा ज्ञानेन्द्रले पनि बिदेशिको इशारामा बसेर शासन गर्नु भन्दा बरु जनताको नासो जनतालाइनै बुझाइदिन्छु भन्दै राजगद्दी छोडी दिए। कुनै राजाले नेपालको हित बिपरित कुनै काम गरेनन।

गत सत्तरी, असी बर्ष देखि ईन्डियन नेताहरुले विभिन्न समयमा विभिन्न दलका नेताहरु मद्धे आफ्नो दलाली योग्यहरुलाइ छानी छानी प्रजातन्त्रको नाममा आफ्नो स्वार्थमा प्रयोग गर्दै अनि छाद्डै नेपाललाइ अस्थिर र अबिकसित राख्नमा सफल हुँदै आए। तर यतिका बर्षमा पनि नेपाललाइ आफुमा बिलय गराउन असफल भए पछि ईन्डियन नेताहरुलेनै ग्रेटर नेपालको खेल खेलने रणनीति सुरु गरेको त होइन? भन्ने सन्खा उत्पन्न भएको छ। उनिहरुले आफ्नै स्वार्थ पूरा गराउन ग्रेटर नेपाल अभियानलाइनै प्रयोग गर्ने रणनिती सुरु गरेको हुन पनि सकछ । कारण ग्रेटर नेपालको भूमि ईन्डियाको बङगाल,बिहार, उत्तर प्रदेश, उत्तराखन्ड आदि राज्यहरुमा गत २०७ बर्ष देखि उनिहरु रहदै आएको हुदा तिनको जनसन्ख्या नेपालको भन्दा दस गुणा भैसक्यो। ग्रेटर नेपाल भित्रका जनतामा भोट गराउने र नेपाली जनसंख्यालाई अल्प मतमा पारी नेपाललाई पनि सिक्किम जस्तो ग्रेटर नेपाल भित्रका प्रदेशहरु बनाउने, ईन्डियनको जनसंख्या बढी बनाउने अनि प्रजातान्त्रिक चुनावको बहानामा पुरै नेपाललाइ ईन्डियामा बिलय गराउनको लागि नया रणनीतिक चाल सुरु गरेको पनि हुन सक्छ। त्यसकारण नेपाल र नेपालीको हित चाहने सबैले यस विषयमा सबै तिरबाट सोच्न पर्ने मेरो सुझाव छ। रबि लामिछानेजीले प्रस्तुत गरेको यति बलियो र चुनौतीपूर्ण घोषणाले कुनै चर्चा किन पाएन र बालेनजीको ग्रेटर नेपालको नक्साले यति ठूलो समर्थन र चर्चा पायो, सबैले एकपटक सोँच्न पनि आबस्यक छ। मैले बालेनजीको कामकारबाहीमा सन्देह गरेको चाहिँ होइन। तर रबिजी किन त्यस पछि चुप रहनु भयो र अहिले पनि चुप रहनु भएको छ? । जय ग्रेटर नेपाल ।

An open letter to Mayor Balen Shah

Please be advised that I am writing you this rather lengthy email separately because I could not attach the video I sent to you a little while ago. First of all, allow me to introduce myself to you. As you can figure out by my name I am someone with a Nepali origin. I came to the US as a student and have been residing in the US for a long time. I am very proud of my heritage. I love the country where I was born. I have been following the events closely, especially the political ones that happen in Nepal, for several years.
I found the Mayoral election very interesting, of which you were one of the candidates a couple of years ago. You, as an independent candidate, won the election and became the Mayor of Kathmandu. I was delighted with your victory and I became your fan and have been watching all the good works that you have been doing as the Mayor of the city. I watched the video news when you challenged Indian PM Modi by hanging the map of Greater Nepal on the wall of your office. I was so happy to see it. I have become your admirer and supporter ever since. I earnestly hope you have still displayed the Greater Nepal’s map in your office. Since my high school age, I have become an ardent supporter of the restoration of Greater Nepal. Although it sounds almost impossible unless the majority Nepalis within present-day Nepal and the Nepali-speaking people living in the Indian-occupied Nepal’s lost territories fully support and come forward unitedly, the restoration of Greater will perhaps not happen any time soon. However, I feel that the British colonists did a great injustice to Nepal. They looted more than half of Nepal’s land after the Anglo-Nepal War of 1814-16. They used all kinds of mean and deceitful tactics, intimidation with a so-called treaty of Sugauli in stealing Nepali territories. Even though they did occupy the land during the colonial era, they could have at least returned the looted land to Nepal when they created two countries Pakistan and India in three parts when they granted independence in 1947. The British proved themselves timid and stupid in a way.
Even worse, the Indian leaders of the Indian partisan period hatched a disgusting conspiracy to keep the occupied land within India. They secretly silenced King Tribhuvan not to claim the land looted by the British, They blackmailed the Ranas not to raise voices for the return of the land. And they influenced and threatened the Nepali political leaders to not raise any voice for Greater Nepal. Besides, most of the Nepali leaders were either exiled, born, educated, trained and even financed by the Indian leaders, they could possibly not speak a word for the restoration of Greater Nepal’s lost land. Subsequently, the golden opportunity of the restoration of Greater Nepal’s territories was lost during the period of Indian Independence in 1947.
It is so ironic that India, instead of returning the occupied land to Nepal, has been conspiring to merge Nepal into India since its independence. Furthermore, India has occupied Nepali territories such as Kalapani, Lipulek, Limpiadhura, Susta, and has encroached on the land of Nepal in more than six dozen places across the border. The political leaders of Nepal could never speak about the border issue with India because if they do, they know they will not be in power and will not stay in power without the blessings of the Indian leadership. They could not speak a word about Greater Nepal either.
Fortunately, however, there are some Nepali patriots like Phanindra Nepal who have been raising their voices for the restoration of Greater Nepal for the past thirty years. Nepaljee has kept the voice alive, but his movement for the restoration has not gained the necessary momentum it should have, thus far. About four years ago, Rabi Lamichhane presented very loud support for the restoration of Greater Nepal over News 24, Nepal Channel. However, surprisingly, he just disappeared from News 24’s Janata Sanga Sidha Kura program the day after he presented the Episode on Greater Nepal. What could be the reason? Could it not be the Indian pressure to fire Lamichhane from the TV Channel?

Finally, I would like to request Mayor Balen Shah to watch the video again even if you have already seen it before. You have also supported the campaign by displaying Greater Nepal’s map challenging the Indian hegemony in Nepal after Rabi Lamichhane’s public announcement over television. I further request you again for your support for Greater Nepal at every opportune time in the days ahead. Thank you very much for your time reading my long and perhaps boring letter.
