नयाँ नेपाल र संबिधान बनाउने बहानामा बैठकै नबसी साँसदहरुले एक करोड त भत्ता मात्र पचाए अरु त कती हो कती !!!

व्यवस्थापिका-संसद्को ७२ वटा बैठक डाकिएकोमा ५२ वटा बैठक बस्न सकेनछन्। यो विगत पाँच महिनाको आँकडा हो। यसरी हेर्दा बैठक बोलाइए पनि ७२ प्रतिशत दिनहरूमा बैठक बस्न सक्दो रहेनछ। श्रमको सामान्य नियम हो- श्रम गरेका दिनको पारिश्रमिक पाउने। सभासद्हरू बैठक बस्दैनन् तर पनि भत्ता लिइरहेका छन्। २०६५ सालको चैत १६ गतेबाट संसद्को हिउँदे अधिवेशन शुरू भएको थियो र शुरूमा सत्तामा रहेको एमालेले प्रचण्ड थैवको हत्यारालाई कारबाही हुनुपर्ने तथा नेपाली कांग्रेसले युद्धका समयमा कब्जा भएको घरजग्गा फिर्ता गर्नुपर्ने माग गर्दै सदन अवरुद्ध गरेका थिए। यस कारण प्रारम्भमा दुई दिन सदन अवरुद्ध भएको थियो। प्रमुख प्रतिपक्षी नेपाली कांग्रेसले प्रधानमन्त्रीको प्रतिबद्धता कार्यान्वयन नभएको भन्दै यही विषयमा पछि ६ वटा बैठक पनि अवरुद्ध गरेको थियो। माओवादी सरकार ढलेपछि एमाले नेता माधवकुमार नेपालको नेतृत्वमा सरकार गठन भयो र संसद् अवरुद्ध गर्ने क्रम माओवादीले शुरू गर्यो। माओवादीले नागरिक सर्वोच्चताको नाममा लगातार ३३ वटा बैठक अवरुद्ध गरिसकेको छ। यसबीचमा ११ वटा बैठक सूचना टाँस गरेर स्थगित गरिएका छन्।

अवरुद्ध सदनलाई खुलाउन प्रधानमन्त्री स्वयम्ले दुई पटक संसद्लाई सम्बोधन गर्नुपरेको थियो तर समस्या जहाँको तहीँ छ। तत्कालीन प्रधानमन्त्री पुष्पकमल दाहाल ‘प्रचण्ड’ले सत्तासाझेदार एमाले र प्रमुख प्रतिपक्षी नेपाली कांग्रेसका माग सम्बोधन गर्न वैशाख २ मा र माओवादीका मागलाई सम्बोधन गर्न प्रधानमन्त्री माधवकुमार नेपालले असार २२ मा संसद्लाई सम्बोधन गर्नुभएको थियो। बैठक अवरुद्ध हुने क्रम जारी छ। तर, सभासद्हरूले बैठक भत्ता २ सय र यातायात खर्च १ सय ५० रुपियाँ भने छोडेका छैनन्। पाँच महिनाका करिब १ सय ५० दिनमध्ये २० दिन मात्रै बैठक चल्नुलाई संसदीय इतिहासमा नरमाइलो रूपमा सभासद्हरूले नै चर्चा गर्ने गरेका छन्। बैठक नभए पनि सबै सभासद्का खातामा मासिक सभासद् तलबबापत २३ हजार ५ सय रुपियाँ, स्वकीय सचिव तलबबापत १४ हजार ८ सय रुपियाँ, आवासबापत ६ हजार, टेलिफोन २ हजार रुपियाँ, मसलन्द १ हजार रुपियाँ, बिजुली तथा पानी १ हजार २ सय रुपियाँ र पत्रपत्रिकाबापत ३ सय रुपियाँ जाने गरेको छ। यो २० दिनको बैठक राज्यलाई अत्यन्त महँगो साबित भएको छ र यो बीचमा राज्यले सभासद्हरूलाई १ करोड ९ लाख रुपियाँ भत्तामा खर्च गरिसकेको जानइएको छ। -दीपक रिजाल/रीता सापकोटा

Association of Nepalis in Americas is the national platform organization of Nepali Diaspora in North Americas. It has storied history and a unique place among lives of the Nepalis. In concert with local and regional associations, ANA can be the most consequential organization.
Fellow well wishers of ANA, you made it clear during the recent election for ANA President that ANA leadership needed to be opened up so anyone interested had an opportunity to serve the community. This message is to ask you to come join the team to make a difference through community service. This is a direct result of the election mandate given by you.
For the first time in the history of ANA a public call is being made to join the leadership team to serve the Nepali community. In this new ANA we are seeking for transparency, accountability, and dynamic methods for having greater say by the members in the direction of building a better than ever organization.
ANA is the single national organization of all Nepalis in Americas therefore it has the biggest responsibility for the betterment of the entire community.

If your answer is yes to following questions, you are the change we need!
Are you passionate about volunteer work?
Are you a people’s person?
Do you love team work?
Do you want to make a difference in your community?
Do you love networking?
Do you consider yourself vibrant, full of energy, active and self-motivated?

You can immediately start making a difference as functional managers, project leads, and at-large volunteers working on your own schedule. If you are a professional or an expert with specialties and do not want to commit long term, or take a formal role, Nepali community needs you as well. Even a couple hours a month will make a major difference in so many of our lives.
