न्युयोर्कको म्यानहाटनमा बिस्फोट हुंदा दुई वटा घरमा आगलागी भएको छ । म्यानहाटनको हार्लेममा रहेको भवनको अर्पाटमेन्टमा भएको बिस्फोटबाट 3 जनाको मृत्यु भएको छ भने 64 जना घाईते भएको जनाइएको
छ । न्युयोर्कको समय अनुसार बुधबार बिहान ९:३० बजे भएको हो । अर्पाटमेन्टमा रहेको ग्याृस लीक हुंदा बिस्फोबट भएको अनुमान गरिएको भए पनि कारण र क्षतीका बारे पुर्ण बिवरण आउन सकेको छैन । आगो नियन्त्रण गर्नका लागि सयौं उद्धारकर्मी घटनास्थलमा खटिएका छन् भने मेट्रो नर्थ रेलसेवा बन्द गरिएको छ । ११६ र पार्क एभिन्युको कर्नरको घरमा बिस्फोट भएको नजिकै ९९ सेन्ट्स स्टोर सन्चालन गरिरहेका नेपाली गणेश लम्सालका अनुसार बिस्फोटबाट उनको स्टोरमा पनि क्षती पुगेको छ । लम्सालले बिस्फोटबाट स्टोरका झ्याल, ढोका फुट्नका साथै धुंंवाले त्यस क्षेत्रमा बस्न नसकेकोल अन्यत्रै बसेको बताएका छन् ।

 

NEW YORK (AP) — An explosion on Wednesday leveled two New York City apartment buildings, killing three people, injuring 64 others and sending smoke billowing above the skyline. The blast happened after a neighbor reported smelling natural gas. The New York Police Department said three people died in the explosion, but no further information was available. New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio said. There will be a search through the rubble of the building once the fire has been put out.  They were searching the wreckage with cadaver dogs late Wednesday after a thunderous gas blast in East Harlem levelled two buildings and sent “people flying. Three women were killed and three dozen other people were injured — some of them children, one of them critically. The buildings collapsed with such force it shattered windows a block away and registered on the seismic scale at Columbia University, which measures earthquake activity in and around New York City. It felt like the world shook, said witness Mustafa Shohataa, 27, who was standing near the buildings at Park Ave. and East 116th St. )
